Our mission is to cultivate a profound love of salsa music, dancing and the culture of the African diaspora. We teach Puerto Rican style salsa lessons throughout the Tampa Bay area for beginners and those wanting to increase their confidence in dancing.
Orvest Law is an Afro-Latin dance instructor and DJ living in Tampa, FL since 2013. He is the owner of Amor Por La Salsa, LLC. In 2013 Orvest learned to dance Salsa under instruction of Simone Amaral, owner of Simone Salsa, the largest Latin dance school in the Tampa Bay area. In 2016 Orvest began teaching the fundamentals of Salsa dancing for Simone Salsa where he taught group classes until the Covid-19 pandemic. He has much experience teaching private lessons and community/corporate events. Orvest's enthusiasm for Afro-Latin culture is infectious and he loves to share that passion with people of all ages and backgrounds.

Mari Garcia is a Latin dance instructor from Fajardo, Puerto Rico living in the Tampa Bay area. She is currently teaching Salsa for Amor Por La Salsa, LLC alongside Orvest Law. In 2015, Mari began her salsa journey under Simone Amaral, the owner of Simone Salsa Dance School, where she graduated as a follow and a lead. Mari also learned to lead Cuban Casino dancing at Simone Salsa. Mari performed in Simone's 2016, 2017 and 2018 Graduation Galas as a follow and twice as a lead. In 2019, Mari began instructing the fundamentals of Salsa dancing for Simone Salsa Dance studios alongside Orvest Law for many community and corporate events in the Tampa Bay area. She was recently co-instructor for Casa Tina’s 30th Cinco de Mayo Street Festival in Dunedin. Mari also enjoys ballroom dance rhythms such as: American Tango, Rumba, Bolero, as well as the Soft Rhythm of Foxtrot, Waltz and Veniesse Waltz.
